THE AFROCULTURAL HERITAGE AS AN ECONOMIC DRIVER OF TOURISM

This book presents important data contained in some processes of overturning (patrimonialization) by means of a dynamic reading inserted in the historical and cultural material and immaterial patrimonies which constitutes the preservation of collective memory. The formation of the identity of the Brazilian people and its relationship with the African diaspora is an important inductor of Afro-Brazilian cultural tourism. The economic exploitation of cultural assets based on the assumption of value and subsequent self-sufficiency of cultural heritage within the Traditional Territorial Units of African Matrix (UTTMA) is the evolutionary path to minimize public investment in the maintenance of assets and promote proper exploitation.
