He is a professional tennis instructor who volunteers as a coach of the Albertville High School tennis team in Albertville Alabama and is an assistant coach with the Albertville boys varsity basketball team. After earning a college tennis scholarship he earned a business degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. The author is a member of the Albertville High School Hall of Fame the Marshall County Sports Hall of Fame and the Alabama Tennis Hall of Fame.
