The Angels of Pemberton

Ten-year-old Adele Wakefield has been an orphan her whole life. Living in a large old manor house on the edge of the wild Northern moor in Devon England she yearns for a family of her own. The few servants who remain in the decaying house to care for Adele tell her that her mother is dead and that her father has vanished taking Adeles only sister to somewhere far away. One foggy morning Adele makes a brave escape to the widely talked about Pemberton Cliffs and the Bristol Channel. There she meets a rustic farm girl Jenny Hollings who tells her about the legend of the Pemberton Angels.
