<p>A fast paced laugh per page about one retiring officer's undercover experiences and adventures.  The stories the senior disenchanted officer shares with the rookie are funny and sometimes scary but they are all geared to making the rookie a safer better officer;  better than the retiring officer ever was.  In this book Renarde recounts his career while sitting in the lobby of the station waiting on a disciplinary process. As he passes the time he meets a young impressionable officer and decides to give him insight into the secrets behind the making of the city they now police. </p><p><br></p><p>Like a wild west cowboy town this city had to be broken and reshaped to favor a new purpose and prosperity. In order for that to happen officers had to rise to the occasion and the call to arms. This is their story. This is a story about the badges a city forgot. </p><p><br></p><p>The part of this story that is the scariest is that it is based on actual events.</p>
