The individual actions presented in this professional studies paper could make it appear as though Russia is conducting routine and legitimate business within Central Asia but when viewed collectively and through the lens of Russia's foreign policy objectives these actions convey Russia's intent to emerge from the ruins of the Soviet Union as a nation that possesses the influence and if necessary the strength to operate among the worlds strongest nations.
