The Benefactor

<p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>The Benefactor is a fictional love story about an American who fights on the side of the Republican government against the Nationalist forces led by Franco. It is a sweeping historical romance that intertwines the Spanish Civil War and early WWII period (1937-1941) with a mystery unfolding in 1990.</span></p><p></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>Besides falling in love with the wife of a French Resistance operative our hero Robertelli becomes disillusioned by his initial ethics and war in general.</span></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>In his pursuits he encounters a triple agent and then socks the bribes given to that bad actor (from Spain the Nazis and Britain) for himself his family and most notably his grand-daughter. The story goes back in time as his grand-daughter searches the origin of her trust fund - her benefactor.</span></p><p></p>
