The Bible College Movement in the UK

The UK Bible Colleges were seminal for similar colleges throughout the world and although a few recent studies on individual colleges have signalled a growing interest no study of them as a movement and the dramatic changes they went through especially since the Second World War has yet been attempted. This book maps out a framework for understanding these colleges and tells the story of their founding and growth in three main chapters; beginnings to the First World War the inter-war years and the post Second World War period. It explains their importance in the various eras of their life from the earliest missionary training homes to the sophisticated university affiliated colleges of today and presents a vision for the future.
