<p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>As if the life of a Black attorney in the public defender's office wasn't already hard enough Sam Hicks' road to redemption hits a rough patch when most of his cases are re-assigned to a racist judge who clearly has it out for him and the poverty-stricken men and women he represents in court every day. Admittedly Sam has made great strides since becoming a Christian but some of the old demons from his childhood simply refuse to go away and he continues to struggle against old belief systems about race and his identity.</span></p><p></p><p><strong style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>What if he's never able to fully change his thinking or to trust God in all things?</strong></p>
