The Book of Buthmann and the Jessen Family of Bottschlott Germany tells the story of Han Joachim Heinrich Buthmann known as 'Henry Buthmann' and his journey from Schleswig-Holstein Germany to Shelby County Iowa. It also tells the tale of his wife Helene Jessen Thielker Buthmann and her journey with her first husband Henry Thielker from Wyk auf Fohr to New Orleans Louisiana his death and her continued journey to Shelby County Iowa and her marriage to Henry Buthmann a widower of three sons. This volume tells of the families of Henry and Helene - their brothers and sisters.
