The Book of the Thousand Nights and a Night—Volume 05

The Book of the Thousand Nights and a Night—Volume 05 is a collection of tales translated and compiled by Sir Richard Francis Burton the renowned British explorer translator and scholar. This volume is part of Burton's larger work a translation of the famous Arabic story collection One Thousand and One Nights also known as The Arabian Nights. Published in the 19th century Burton's translation is notable for its comprehensive and unexpurgated nature as well as for his attempt to maintain the exoticism and authenticity of the original Arabic text.
