The Boy From The Ranch

The boy from the ranch or Roy Bradner's city experiences follows a young boy from a ranch in Colorado as he embarks on an unexpected journey to New York City. The story focuses on his transition from rural life to the complexities of city life exploring themes of responsibility and adventure. At the start the boy is introduced working on his father's ranch where he demonstrates his skills as a cowboy. After receiving news of his father’s ill health he leaves the cattle round-up early to return home. Upon arrival he learns that his father wants him to settle a business matter involving a property in New York previously owned by his late uncle. This task which includes investigating potential fraud by a real estate agent sets him on a train journey filled with new experiences and challenges. Along the way he encounters swindlers and forms an unexpected friendship which helps him navigate the complexities of city life and gain responsibility.
