When I studied with him in the mid-fifties he was one of the top jazz piano teachers in Hollywood at that time. My book is broken down into a series of tips - 55 tips from an old pro - of these 55 tips 32 relate to playing and rest relate to the general lifestyle of the jazz pianist.Seventy years of piano playing condensed into seventy pages..!
