Breathing life into a long-forgotten historical figure The Bridgetower Chronicles pays homage to George Bridgetower one of Europes most-celebrated violinists of the 18th and 19th centuries. Performing alongside Beethoven and under the guidance of HRH the Prince of Wales Georges heritage however was just as majestic. Stretching back to a time of imperial rule he was the grandson of an Abyssinian Prince who was taken to Jamaica and sold into slavery. Born in 1754 his father prospered into the upper echelons of society paving the way for Georges success and controversial marriage to an upper-class English lady. With true accounts from his descendants The Bridgetower Chronicles immortalises George forever recalling a life and love that bridged century-old boundaries.
