<p><strong>Softball season has arrived and Jade is on fire.</strong></p><p></p><p>Fourteen-year-old Jade has been catching for Sylvie for five years. They are the best pitcher-catcher duo in the county maybe even the state. So when Sylvie suddenly quits the team Jade is crushed and her teammates go into panic mode. Without Sylvie they can't field a team and will have to forfeit their season. As they scramble to find a new player a nagging question remains: Why did Sylvie quit? Jade is determined to find out and along the way she learns what it really means to be part of a team.</p>
