<p>The Chamoru American Warrior is a powerful true story honoring the heroism of a native Chamoru son of Guam my great-grandfather Francisco Jesus Cruz. A Chamoru freedom fighter promised the Medal of Honor for his courageous role in helping liberate the island during World War II. As a member of the Guam Combat Patrol he and his fellow warriors risked their lives to protect their homeland and support U.S. forces in the brutal battle to reclaim Guam.&nbsp;</p><p></p><p>Told through a deeply personal lens this book sheds light on the untold sacrifices of the Chamoru people the legacy of resistance and resilience and the pride of a culture that stood strong in the face of war.</p><p></p><p>In partnership with the Chamoru American Foundation this story uplifts Indigenous voices and history.
