The Christian And The Cross

The cross is the main symbol of Christianity. For the Christian the symbol of the cross is God's love for his creation on display for all the world to see. The message of the cross is infinitely greater than this book can contain. The apostle Paul told the church at Corinth For I determined not to know any thing among you save Jesus Christ and him crucified. (1Corinthians 2:2) Author Jimmie L. Chapman felt inspired to write this theological exegesis on the cross. This is by no means an exhaustive study of the subject he said. The Christian and the cross are inseparable. We were saved by Christ's death on the cross and we are kept by the power of his death and resurrection and our only hope is symbolized by the cross of Christ. Every Christian is called to take up his cross and follow Jesus daily. If we faithfully do this he will lead us home to be with him.
