Alone in London </strong></p><p> </p><p>An old man living in terrible poverty finds a little girl on his doorstep takes her in and discovers that she's his granddaughter.</p><p> </p><p>He barely has enough to live on but he makes it do for the two of them and is constantly delighted with the tiny child.</p><p> </p><p>A street urchin becomes part of their lives and the three of them are very happy together.</p><p> </p><p>A beautiful and touching story about human kindness and love without any expectation of a reward.</p>
