The Civil-Military Relations in Egypt after 2011 uprising

Since 2011 the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region witnessed waves of uprisings that caused to fall of several longstanding regimes. In Egypt The 2011 uprisings caused new security challenges which imposed more pressures on state’s military internal and operational security policy and therefore gave more power for military establishment in Egypt to face such a sensitive situation and consequently influence the CMR. This book discusses the Civil-Military relations (CMR) in Egypt from January 2011 till July 2013. It determines the factors which motivate the Egyptian armed forces (EAF) to oust two presidents in less than three years.
