THE COGNITIVE GAP

This book analyzes how the cognitive gap deeper than the access gap limits development in transition economies. Based on a critical approach to technology and digital literacy it shows how infrastructure alone does not generate progress if it is not accompanied by cognitive ethical and productive competencies. The work presents an analysis of the relationship between society and technology the imperatives of development digital citizenship post-truth and the creation of effective policies for real technological appropriation. It proposes to educate demand strengthen critical thinking and turn the citizen into a producer of knowledge offering a roadmap to build more inclusive modern and prepared societies for the knowledge economy.
