About The Book

The story of a Confederate cavalry colonel from Mississippi who had never surrendered and considered himself still a serving Confederate officer in 1869 when he is forced to kill a Union captain in Fort Smith Arkansas. Realizing the Union Army wants to hang him he escapes to Texas where he engages in gunbattles is involved in romances and is tried twice for murder.
