THE CONCEPT OF COMPASSION IN SCHOPENHAUER

This manuscript consists in understanding Arthur Schopenhauer''s ethics of compassion and elucidating the conceptual elements that constitute his single-minded Philosophy in order to understand how his ethical perspective can serve as support for the environmental issue as well as the concept of Will facilitating the understanding regarding the focus of the problem at hand which in synthesis resides in the criticism of human individualism caused by rationalist egocentrism and its results. And then we will deepen in Schopenhauer''s conception about the moral foundation where an analysis about the origin of selfishness and the substantial character of human intellect in comparison with non-human animals will be presented.
