THE CONSTITUTIONAL COUNCIL IN CAMEROON

The purpose of this research entitled THE CONSTITUTIONAL COUNCIL IN CAMEROON is to try to understand why since the constitution of 18 January 1996 the Constitutional Council was only put in place on 7 February 2018. The question we have tried to answer here is what caused the effective establishment of the Constitutional Council in Cameroon? Our objectives were to demonstrate how this new institution functions and how it is organised who the representatives are here and what their roles and attributes are. The importance of this research lies in the fact that understanding the notions surrounding the Constitutional Council provides a broad overview of Cameroon''s parliamentary institutions. After conducting a broad review of the literature we chose to demonstrate this assertion by employing the methods of exegesis and casuistry to reach our conclusions.
