The study focused on the coping mechanisms among women experiencing domestic violence. A case of Naggalama parish Nabbaale Sub County in Mukono district. The prime concerns of the study were to find out how women experiencing violence in this particular area cope with it as well as the different strategies they employ in contending with the perilous situations they undergo as a result of this problem. The study was largely explanatory cross-sectional case study. I employed typical qualitative data collection methods which provided rich detailed information about the different strategies women experiencing domestic violence utilize to cope with the situation. The study involved 20 participants among whom were 15 primary respondents who were selected purposely and these were mainly residents of Naggalama parish; A focus group discussion with the primary respondents and 5 key informant interviews including the police CFPU CEDOVIP local council 1 and the woman councilor.
