The Corpus Hermeticum

The Corpus Hermeticum is a collection of ancient Hermetic writings attributed to the legendary figure Hermes Trismegistus. These texts are foundational to the Hermetic tradition a philosophical and spiritual system that emerged in the Hellenistic period and influenced various esoteric traditions throughout history. The Hermetic writings cover a wide range of topics including cosmology theology alchemy astrology and spiritual transformation. They are presented in the form of dialogues between Hermes Trismegistus and his disciples discussing the nature of the divine the cosmos and the relationship between the material and spiritual realms. The most well-known English translation of The Corpus Hermeticum was done by Walter Scott in 1924. It includes several Hermetic texts such as the Poimandres The Divine Pymander and others which collectively provide insights into the esoteric wisdom of ancient Egypt and Greece.
