<p>Usually the verdict marks the end of the story. Sometimes it's just the beginning.</p><p>Trial consultant Casey Summit loves her work-and she's good at it. She and her team have just pulled off the impossible: a 'Not Guilty' verdict in a high-profile murder trial with the team wholeheartedly believing in the defendant's innocence. Within their celebration comes the aftermath of the acquittal. The victim's family is still seeking justice for their son's murder and an accused man is unable to get his life back under the scrutiny of the city.</p><p>While the cops consider the case closed Casey forms a team of her own to hunt down the truth-colleagues from her trial consulting firm led by her counterpart Jack; her ride-or-die best friend Twila; and her true crime-obsessed younger sister with a drive to show the world what a girl with Down Syndrome is capable of.</p><p>As the team digs further into the case and as Casey's own demons come back to haunt her she finds herself hoping that she can identify the murderer before becoming the next target.</p>
