This book explores the cultural and philosophical implications of the response of W.B. Yeats to India particularly in the context of Tagore in a systematic way. The focus has been more on the cultural negotiation between these two great creators of world literature and moves towards a theoretical formulation of the problematic nature of comparative literary criticism both as a discipline and a method.
