The Crown and Constitutional Law in Canada

<p>The second edition of The Crown and Constitutional Law in Canada updates this work to include the changes to the laws relating to royal succession and other developments in Canadian constitutional law since the book was first published in 1998.  The Crown and Constitutional Law in Canada is a topical survey of the role and function of the Sovereign and the Sovereign's representatives the Governor General and the Lieutenant Governors of the provinces in the Canadian constitution.  The structure of responsible government exercised through the Canadian Ministry is discussed and the continuing importance of the Royal Prerogative powers and the reserve powers is discussed.  A description of the primary legal instruments used in Crown practice in the governance of Canada and a discussion of the Crown honours and dignities available to Canadians rounds out this survey text of the Canadian monarchy in the twenty-first century.</p>
