The Crystal Crypt Is Set In A Future Where Earth Is Engaged In A Tense Political Standoff With The Neighboring Planet Mars. The Story Follows A Group Of Characters Who Find Themselves Caught In The Midst Of This Conflict. The Narrative Begins With A Martian Official Warning The Inhabitants Of Earth'S Colony On Mars That War Is Imminent. In Response A Group Of Earth Residents Including A Businessman Named Thacher A Scientist Named Pat And A Woman Named Mary Plan To Escape Mars And Return To Earth Aboard A Spaceship Called The Star Rover. As They Prepare To Depart They Encounter Another Earth Resident Named Jon Who Has Been Accused Of Smuggling Forbidden Martian Artifacts. Jon Claims Innocence And Asks For Their Help In Clearing His Name. The Group Reluctantly Agrees To Assist Jon But They Soon Find Themselves Embroiled In A Dangerous Game Of Cat And Mouse With Martian Authorities.
