The Crystal Gems

A very long time ago... there was an extremely powerful empire that ruled the cosmos. This empire was formed by humanoid looking creatures. Creatures so powerful that there was nothing that was out of their reach. They conquered and enslaved every other species they found. Eventually led by human beings their slaves rebelled. They wiped out the creatures and created a new empire. An Emperor who wore an elegant crystal crown ruled them. This crown had five separate crystals jutting out of it. One was fiery red in color the second was a grassy green the third was a hue of midnight blue the fourth was pure white and the final crystal was black. It was created by the creatures that enslaved his people. This Crystal Crown was fit for an Emperor of his stature. However over the years this crown would twist and mangle the Emperor's mind and body.
