The Day the Flowers Bloomed

<p><em>The Day the Flowers Bloomed</em> is a collection of bilingual poetry that takes you on a journey of self-discovery healing and growth while wondering if the world around us has enough space for that. Guided by the voice of the author's inner child she explores the possibility of childhood memories and reminiscence. Questions are asked even if they're not able to be answered. One question that always remains is how can people blossom in a world that isn't built for people to do so under capitalism and trauma? Is this the house that we are supposed to live and love in? Is home found in our bodies in bowls of fruit in different corners of the Earth? <em>The Day the Flowers Bloomed</em> searches for these answers and creates a playground to daydream in to find connection and to find the <em>Self</em>. This book goes back and forth between English and Spanish to capture the totality of the author's voice and to give space for others to do the same.</p>
