<p>As indicated in the book no changes have been made to my original account. I served the airline from 1979 to 1995 leaving when the work environment particularly within Human Resources became unbearable. While working as an Administrative Officer in the Motor Transport section I often stayed late to ensure all vehicles on assignment returned to base. Unfortunately some drivers exploited the system by swapping new tyres with worn ones and stealing essential tools like spanners and jacks daily. After I transferred out of Motor Transport the section was taken over by Mr. Ewurum who replaced me with his kinsman Ugbaja. T his experience taught me that life is often a cycle that demands endurance. At the General Affairs section I dedicated myself to excellence and made it a point to avoid any situations that could lead to blame or disciplinary actions. Leading a sharp team required extra effort and vigilance. On Sundays after church I would drop by the office to review the contents of my staff's desks. I occasionally found unauthorised documents especially relating to family registrations and discreetly noted them for follow-up. Navigating the airline's bureaucracy was often frustrating with sections treating my requests as though I were seeking personal benefits. Despite these challenges I persevered regularly meeting flight crews at the airport as early as 5:00 a.m. and staying on-site until their aircraft cleared Nigerian airspace. On three occasions I narrowly escaped armed robbery attempts while commuting in the early hours. </p>
