In this third collection of poems the author continues the theme from her first two books of poetry on the human relationship with the divine which plays out through a meditation on the relation between worlds (material and spiritual earthly and heavenly) as well as in terms of the author's intimate and long-standing relationship with her spiritual teacher to whom the book is dedicated. Also explored in this collection are the themes of relation with the more-than-human world and of spiritual friendship and loss. While deeply personal the poems nevertheless draw imagery from the author's familiarity with a variety of religious and spiritual traditions struggling towards a mode of expression of the spiritual life on earth that will appeal to readers of diverse religious backgrounds.
