The Descent of the Tzaddik

<p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>A lonely young man in Poland hundreds of years ago living in a traditional Jewish </span><em style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>shtetl</em><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)> yearns for a deeper connection with his Creator and an escape from his mundane life.  He studies the esoteric wisdom of the mystical </span><em style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>kabbalah</em><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)> and then uses that knowledge to vault his soul out of his body on a magical journey to the World to Come and the Heavenly Court.  And when his soul returns to his body he is blessed with marvelous new powers - powers that can ease suffering and bring joy to thousands.  He becomes the </span><em style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>tzaddik</em><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)> of his own Hasidic court with disciples pilgrims and opportunists surrounding him and seeking his miracle-working blessings.  But his powers and his fame will in turn bring new temptations doubts and scandals.</span></p><p></p><p><em style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>The Descent of the Tzaddik</em><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)> is an exploration of the borderlines between faith and doubt holiness and sin and good and evil.  </span></p><p></p>
