The development of addiction from the perspective of those affected

The book deals with the development of addiction with the perspectives of addicted individuals playing a central role. The fundamental goal is to find out how different theories explain the development of drug addiction and how those affected describe the development of their addictive behaviour. Five qualitative interviews were conducted in order to capture the individual explanatory models.
