This book provides an overview of public sector organisations in South Africa to understand the organisational management approach to organisational culture. The study on organisational development involves a very large number of philosophical systems such as technology innovation people and systems that can suggest a rainbow of solutions. Seven constructs which provide an in depth insight to the fundamental empirical arguments namely organisational culture leadership performance job satisfaction motivation employee well being and organisational effectiveness are presented. A multi dimensional perspective of a baobab organisational culture metaphor describing values culture and strategies towards culture change is used. The study applied qualitative and quantitative research methodologies in a case study approach where data acquisition methods such as focus groups solicited data and a questionnaire were used. After triangulation the study recommends an establishment of an organisational efficiency improvement component. Focus should be on the capacity of leadership development. The final discourse creates a clear explicit philosophy on how to Conduct business.
