The Different Path

<p><strong style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Pat Underwood </strong><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>grew up on an Iowa farm across the horizon from where she and her husband raised their two sons. She retired in 2017 from her work in early education and working for the State of Iowa. Since her husband's death she remains on their country hillside near Colfax IA surrounded by poetry-inspiring nature. Underwood's poems received a 2001 Pushcart Prize Nomination a 1996 Founder's Award and a 2002 Founder's Award from the National Federation of State Poetry Societies.
