The Dilemma of Malaysian Teachers towards Autistic Students

It has been reported that lack of professional skills and knowledge were among the barriers faced by teachers in the inclusive education practices. It is believed that the research on autism in Malaysia as well as other countries should be expanded as an effort to provide some insight to mainstream teachers especially for those who have autistic students in their inclusive classes. This book therefore illustrates the predicaments that Malaysian teachers faced when having autistic students in the mainstream classes. This book also discusses the ways they cope with the inclusive environment and teaching materials used in the inclusive program.
