His journey began in Iran where he actively participated in the 1979 Iranian Revolution driven by hope for change. However this hope turned to disillusionment as an oppressive regime emerged leading to the loss of his education and social rights.</span></p><p></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>In 1986 seeking a brighter future Bijan left Iran for studies abroad and eventually settled in California where he worked in pharmaceutical drug discovery merging his scientific passion with a desire to make a difference.</span></p><p></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>Over the past 45 years he has penned poetry that reflects his experiences of life love resilience and the bittersweet nature of exile.
