The Doctor his Wife and the Clock

The story begins with the discovery of a murder. Dr. Zabriskie is found dead in his office and the circumstances of his death are suspicious. Gryce an experienced and astute detective is called to investigate. The only clues available are the peculiar behavior of a clock in the doctor's office which has stopped at the time of the murder and the testimony of the doctor’s distraught wife who claims to know nothing about the crime. As Gryce delves deeper into the investigation he uncovers various secrets and hidden motives. He examines the relationships between the doctor his wife and other individuals who might have had a reason to wish Dr. Zabriskie harm. The clock which had mysteriously stopped at the exact time of the murder becomes a focal point in solving the crime. Gryce's keen observation and deductive reasoning ultimately lead him to uncover the truth behind the doctor's death revealing a web of deceit and betrayal.
