The Dynamics of Civil Society

This study aims at taking us through the series of events that took place between 1983 and 2007 in Nigeria political system. Precisely it puts into a proper perspective the processes through which a nearly two-decade of military authoritarian regimes (1983-1999) metamorphosed through unflinching efforts of civil society into a successful transition in 1999. In order to account for these historic events the book answers the main guiding question: “How changesin the dynamics of civil society influenced the process of democratization in Nigeria?”.
