The Earth Quarter by Damon Francis Knight is a thought-provoking science fiction novel that explores themes of colonization class divisions and the complexities of human society in a future world. The story is set on Earth in the distant future where the planet has been divided into different sectors based on social class and status. As he becomes more aware of the wider political and social issues affecting his community he embarks on a journey that challenges his understanding of power society and his own role in it. Throughout the novel Knight examines the human desire for freedom and the lengths individuals will go to in order to fight against inequality and oppression.
