About The Book

Hybrid optical communication systems are encountered in real life to accommodate the need for higher bandwidths and speeds. Typically hybrid communication systems that are deployed recently carry data rates such as 10 Gb/s 40Gb/s and maybe 100 Gb/s. This book analyze the effect of different Multiplexers (MUX) De-multiplexers (DEMUX) bandwidths on the performance of hybrid communication systems and to optimize its design that uses different data rates on same fiber. This is in addition to optimize optical data transmission system and improve the performance of data transmission. Different configurations simulations using Non-Return to Zero (NRZ) and Return to Zero (RZ) modulation format cases have been analyzed as well. All study cases have been analyzed using Optiwave V.12 software.
