The effects of prematurity on parenthood

Extreme prematurity represents a considerable stress for both parents and children. The construction of the bond with the child the meeting with the child the whole process of transition to parenthood can be disrupted. The aim of this book is to evaluate the impact of the severity of prematurity and parental stress on the quality of the parent-child relationship and on the development of the baby born prematurely during the first two years of life.
