The Elderly and Traffic

Considering the scarcity of research on the elderly in traffic and the constant increase in the elderly population in Brazil as well as the importance of investing in the empowerment of healthy ageing this project sought to assess the psychosocial consequences of the elderly when they stop driving understanding that the loss of this status may or may not compromise the autonomy and self-esteem of the elderly making it difficult for them to adapt to the new reality.
