The Embodiment and Transmission of Ghanaian Kete Royal Dance

<p>This book is an Afrocentric exploration of the royal Indigenous dance known as the Kete dance-music as an analytical path for reassessing African movement systems in the 21st century. It validates the agency of the Black dancing body as a critical element for the generation and use of Indigenous knowledge systems of the Africans/diaspora and explores critical perspectives on the role dancing plays in the cultural emancipation of African knowledge systems globally.</p>
