The Emmet War

This is a sci-fi action human drama set in the future. It is centered on an alien invasion by sentient insect-like entities bent on using the worlds population for food. It follows a group of people that eventually wind up as the last stand for humanity. It includes a complicated relationship between a special old man and an alien Gyne. There are several human relationships the intertwine through the story. It includes descriptions of combat love defeat and hope. The story is told from the perspective of an archaeologist four hundred years after the war. There is an underlying supernatural theme.
