The Empty Nest

Mama Bird wonders with concern as her fledglings journey farther from the nest. Has she prepared them? Will they make the right choices? I wrote this story/poem as I processed my sons almost simultaneously leaving my nest. As parents we experience a range of emotions. This book is for every parent who has grappled with the tension between worrying & mourning and celebrating & rejoicing when your precious child leaves the nest. While the story is simple it is my hope you will connect and that our stories may intertwine as you process this momentous experience.
