The ethical-political project of Social Work in post-modern society

About The Book

This work aimed to analyse the historical and methodological foundations of Social Work the scope of Marxism as a hegemonic matrix within the professional category and the contemporary postmodern threat in the face of the advances of the capitalist system in its new configurations. We sought to understand the historical and methodological foundations of the profession and the responses offered by different authors to contemporary society. With regard to the Ethical-Political Project of Social Work its main foundations are analysed as well as presenting the opposition to post-modern tendencies that seek to empty Marxist discourse outraging it with relativism and neo-conservatism.
