The Eve of Saint. Agnes is a Romantic narrative poem with 42 Spenserian stanzas that is set in the Middle Ages. John Keats wrote it in 1819 and it was first made available in 1820. Several of Keats' contemporaries and the later Victorians regarded the poem as one of his best and it had a significant impact on literature of the 19th century.
