But things take a turn for the worst when he is forcefully taken to a secluded school where other kids like himself are forbidden to use their Gifts. However Ethan is one of the few students who is randomly chosen to compete in an obstacle course that is no mere kiddies playground. Whichever team wins gets to attend Warrens School for the Gifted. With his two teammates Conrad the short-tempered pyroglee and Timothy the smart-mouth who can control elecricity Ethan is ready to fight to the very end.
